Tip Top Tree Service Ltd is a locally owned and operated company, with a passion for arboriculture and a commitment to both performance and safety. Our team of arborists have the knowledge, skills and equipment to meet the tree care needs of all our residential, commercial and municipal clients.

We pride ourselves on our customer service, and will work diligently to ensure the results meet or exceed your expectations. From beginning to end – free initial quote to site clean up – we guarantee the work is tailored to your individual needs.

Our free consultations are conducted by ISA-certified arborists, so you can rest assured your trees are in capable, qualified hands. Our staff also hold ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualifications (TRAQ) which promotes the safety of both people and property. Our emergency response service is available to help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Tip Top Tree Service Ltd is registered and in good standing with WorkSafe BC and carries commercial general liability insurance. We are happy to provide you with proof of both our WCB coverage and insurance.

We respect trees and our aim is always to leave as little footprint as possible. To this end, we use environmentally conscious techniques, such as spurless climbing, proper pruning procedures and eco-oil in riparian areas and upon request.

Community values are important to us. We have undertaken volunteer work to remove unsafe trees for a not-for-profit kids camp – a service we will continue to provide each year. We feel privileged to supply work experience to students of horticulture/arboriculture. And we offer free wood chips as an alternative to bark mulch.

Choosing an ISA-certified arborist means you’ll receive quality service from experts who are knowledgeable about tree care. To become ISA-certified an arborist must have accomplished a high degree of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through a minimum of three years industry experience and by passing a comprehensive theory examination. Continuing education units are required to maintain certification, guaranteeing that arborists remain updated on the latest arboriculture techniques. Tip Top Tree Service came to Galiano Island on the date they said they would and removed large trees, both on rock cliffs. It was difficult work but they did a very professional job and did not waste any time completing the list of work we had for them. They come with a bucket truck with excellent reach and a monstrous chipper, so all that is left is firewood and a pile of chips that we can spread around the property. Our house is no longer at risk for big trees coming down on it and our view is even better. I would gladly hire them again.

Wow!!! I was very pleased with Tip Top Tree Service. The men were very competent, hard working , and experienced. They really knew how to cut huge branches from tall fir trees in a safe manner. They also did amazing work on my overgrown maples and really cleaned up the monkey puzzle tree. When they were finished they cleaned up any debris. The gardens looked so much better than when they arrived. I am very happy and will hire them again.
We had a very old cherry tree in our yard that needed to be removed, but without doing damage to the surrounding garden or the power wires. Riley and his crew did an excellent job, and even trimmed another tree that was starting to cover the power wires. We were very pleased with the service provided. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing expert tree removal.
I have had the good fortune of having Tip Top Tree Service attend to my tree maintenance needs twice in the last year. On both occasions, communication from the quote to the end of the job was excellent. Riley and his team are professional, considerate and always ensure the work is fully completed.
